A L’il About Me

Shantel's love for music started at a young age and after learning guitar in high school she began writing songs instead of poetry in English class. Her very first cut was a song she wrote at age 17 which ended up being recorded by the Canadian duo "Sisters" and peaked to #2 on the "Made in Canada Country Countdown".

Years later she has a stack of credits including numerous cuts on independent projects, several Tennessee Songwriter's Association International awards and radio airplay as a writer and an artist in Canada, Europe and the USA. The diversity of topics, styles and moods of her songwriting is remarkable. This coupled with her natural gift to perform and skills on the guitar unite for an unforgettable audience experience. You will find songs of seriousness, fun, faith and some just pure laughs in her repertoire. She is a woman who is dedicated to her Christian faith and strives to promote a positive influence to everyone she plays for, in addition to presenting a “family friendly” show.

“When Shantel performs people are captivated by her rich, powerful voice and rocking, high-energy songs. Her lyrics are clever and interesting and melodies catchy and infectious. With her great charisma and fun personality we can always count on her to get the crowd going and keep us entertained.” - Debi Champion host of the Commodore Lounge writer’s nights in Nashville, TN

“Shantel Adams is one of my favorite Bluebird singer/songwriters, partly because of her clever and unique songwriting, partly because of her rich and expressive singing, and partly because she is just so fun to work with!  Audiences rave over her lively stage presence, her zany stage banter, and her no-holds-barred material.  She is a complete crowd-pleaser!”

- Steve Goodie host of the Bluebird Café Sunday writer’s night showcase

My Sound

I’ve been influenced by many amazing artists from past and present. My unique brand of music brings traditional and modern sounds together.

My music can best be described as a mixture of Wynonna, Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Trisha Yearwood and The King!
